happy birthday to me...

so tonight is the last night i am 24.
i had a birthday dinner party as usual last night and it was funny because the total number of people came out to be 25 exactly. this year's restaurant was a little more expensive than the previous ones but for once, i did not have to get into a fight with the server about something stupid they would do. the food was really great and everyone loved them. it was right around the corner from school too so a lot of my classmates could just walk 30 seconds to come celebrate with me. everything was really great besides the fact that my own family bailed on me. i would be okay with it if they said no to begin with but they said yes and didnt bother to call me when they werent coming. if i didnt make the phonecall to check where they were, i probably would have been sitting there at the dinner table with empty seats next to me and realize at the end they werent coming.
im not going to take the bullshit lecturing my mom gives me all the time about how i am nicer to outsiders than my own family.... no more. i am nicer to outsiders for a good reason... so many of my friends help me. they are helping me right now when im working on collection and i couldnt ask for anything better than that... i appreciate them so much... especially eric, chris and anita =[ thanks you three.... ='[
anyways, onto better news, my collection is going pretty well. i am just scared i have way too many outfits to do... i am aiming for ten! i really hope i can show all ten pieces if i make the show... but some of them will probably get cut. i hope not =[ cause i spend SO much time on each of them. i hope i can give everybody a good show in february! pray for me if you are religious =] if you are not, just send me good thoughts =]

6 months

happy =]
today. i dressed up a little =] i havent really cared too much about how i look this semester. Now i really understand why designers dress horribly, hair stylists are bald or shaved, and photographers dont take portraits of themselves. They are too fucking busy with trying to do their job!
I love what i do though. Even though its tiring and people tell me I have no life, its still something I wouldnt mind giving 80 hours of work per week for.
I put my old garments plus a couple new ones through 3 separate photoshoots so expect some really cool pictures soon! My modeling pics from the past week should be available soon as well =]
Here are some pictures I took today!

I kinda like my phone's camera =] I lost the battery charger for my outdated Canon so I havent been using it. =] Camera phone is nice because the size is small so I dont need to change it after I put it back in the computer.

Then Eric and I went to Japantown to eat dinner. We went to TanPoPo. its SO good. their Chahan, the pork fried rice is to DIE for. no kidding. everyone should try it! =] yummy yumm yumm!
here we are!
p.s. im still a little sick but at least my body is still functioning =]

interesting day indeed

i didnt go to school today because i had a paid photoshoot in south san francisco. I had to take a cab there because public transportation would have been horribly long for me. it cost 35 dollars but thats all right. i made 150 :P and my friend eric picked me up afterwards so i took him out for dinner. thats money better spent than paying the cab.
here are some pics =]

these are the models. the first one is an older male model but he's REALLY good looking, even better in person. the one next to me didnt show up. so it ended up with just 4 models. the shoot was only solo so we had to take turns going on set. they also did a video too... i cant wait to see how crazy i look doing all the random stuff. we got to wear lots of clothes from Nice Collective and shoes from Fluevgot, and hats from someone else. It was the biggest production group I've worked with. So many people and assistants!
this is the make up and the first hair. camera light makes my face look blue but i liked the make up and hair artist Mil. amazing because most MUAs dont know how to do men's make up and hair. he did a really good job.

this is the set and the other model.

i took some shots with my phone :P came out prettttyyy cool =]

and lastly, we went to eat dinner at Buca de Bepo or something on Howard St. and it happened to be right across from where President Obama is staying... the intercontinental hotel. so we werent allowed to come out of the restaurant during the time when he's entering or leaving the hotel. and in the picture you can see at least 40 cop motorcycles lined up around the hotel's block... crazyyy day! even though i got no work done :X
